NDIS Plan Management

NDIS plan management, done properly.

Metro Accounting Services is a Registered NDIS Provider (Reg ID 4-K4PJGIF, Provider No. 4050158323) offering full plan management for NDIS participants — processing provider invoices, tracking budgets across support categories and issuing clear monthly statements, so your funding is used exactly as intended. This is a remote service, so we manage plans for participants right across Australia, not just South East Melbourne.

How it works

You choose plan-managed as the funding management type for some or all of your NDIS plan, and appoint Metro Accounting Services as your plan manager. From there, we process your providers' invoices directly against your plan, keep a running track of your budget across every support category, and send you a clear statement each month showing exactly what's been spent and what's left.

Plan-managed vs self-managed vs agency-managed

Agency-managed: the NDIA pays providers directly on your behalf, but you're limited to NDIS-registered providers only.

Self-managed: you pay providers yourself and claim it back, which gives full flexibility but puts all the admin and record-keeping on you.

Plan-managed: a registered plan manager like Metro handles the invoicing and budget tracking for you, and you can still choose from registered and non-registered providers — the flexibility of self-management without the paperwork.

Common questions

NDIS plan management

Does plan management cost me anything out of pocket?

No — plan management is funded as its own line item in your NDIS plan, so there's no out-of-pocket cost to use our service.

Can I use non-registered providers if I'm plan-managed?

Yes, that's one of the main advantages of plan management over agency-managed funding — you can choose from registered and non-registered providers.

How is plan management different from support coordination?

Plan management is the financial administration of your NDIS funding — paying invoices, tracking budgets. Support coordination helps you find and connect with providers. They're separate services and often work together.

Do you manage plans for participants outside Victoria?

Yes, plan management is a remote service — we manage plans for participants across Australia, not just South East Melbourne.

How do I switch to Metro as my plan manager?

Contact us and we'll guide you through updating your plan manager details with the NDIA or your planner — it's a simple process and can usually be done at any time, not just at your plan review.

Metro also provides full bookkeeping and payroll services to businesses across South East Melbourne — see our services page for the full list.
